What your registration includes

  • One 180-minute DSA Core Subject assessment
  • Up to one optional 90-minute DSA Adjacent Subject assessment
  • Official Core Subject preparation materials
  • A separate 0–120 score for every completed subject
  • The four-part score profile for the Core Subject
  • Official digital score reporting

Choosing no Adjacent Subject does not change the registration fee. Adjacent Subjects are included to increase the value and depth of the student’s DSA profile.

Choose Your Assessment Package

1. Choose a Core Subject

Select the major-level field that best reflects your academic interests and university goals.

2. Add an Adjacent Subject

Select zero or one eligible concentration-level subject. It is already included in the registration fee.

3. Select a Window

Core Subjects are available quarterly. Adjacent Subjects follow their published semiannual schedules.

Repeat Attempts

A repeat attempt requires a new registration; there is no separate single-subject retake product. On the new registration, students choose a Core Subject and may again select up to one eligible Adjacent Subject.

  • Maximum of three lifetime attempts per subject
  • Minimum six-month interval between attempts of the same subject
  • Attempts tracked separately for every Core and Adjacent Subject
  • Later improvement receives reduced credit under the scoring policy
  • All attempts remain visible on the official score report
